This innovative materialuses a water-based biopolymer of naturallyobtained polymers like starch, carbohydrates and proteins. This novel material is a blend of these biodegradable polymers, engineered to become compatible with our agro-fibre paper and yetprovides the barrier properties. It works by increasing the path of travel of water molecules through the material, increasing the shelf life and reducing the amount of molecules exchanged between packaging and the environment.

This high-grade barrier product accommodates all necessary barriers, replacing the single PE linings and aluminium used in flexible
packaging. With exceptional hydrophobicity, this barrier comprises a biodegradable polymer made from renewable
resources like corn starch or sugarcane. This breaks down naturally in the environment,
unlike traditional plastic.This water-based
barrier-coated product works by hindering the path of travel of air and water molecules to and from the walls of the product.

EnvoBarrier Gamma
Our water-based coated brown paper cup stock is a versatile and eco-friendly material used to produce disposable paper cups. It's made from brown kraft paper and a water-based coating, which dampens the upper fibre layer with a resistive barrier coating. This coating enhances the paper's strength, moisture, and grease resistance, making it suitable for hot and cold beverages. Water-based coatings are generally considered safer for the environment than solvent-based coatings.
